The plate above is part of a set of Royal Doulton plates issued between 1982 and 1985, to commemorate various Jewish High Holidays. This particular one was for Rosh Hashanah, or "Jewish New Year" which you can find out more about on the Holidays page. The image is of course (c) Royal Doulton!
